Joining the meeting were Vice Executive President Trinh Ngoc Thanh, Vice Executive President Dang Ngoc Hoa, the Head of the Development and Planning Department Nguyen Quang Trung, the Head of the Communication Department Le Truong Giang, and Deputy Head of the Communications Department Ha Minh Quang.
During the discussion, Prof. Nawal Taneja brought some new and interesting perspectives to the table (Cre: Mai Huong).
Despite this being his first visit to Vietnam, he had written about Vietnam’s aviation market before in a few of his books. In his opinion, Vietnam is one of a select few countries with substantial potential for aviation development.
During the internal meeting, CEO and President Duong Tri Thanh, and other VNA employees discussed the following matters:
- The professor’s books
- Airline digitalization
- Aviation investment
- Codeshare, dual-branding
- Development strategy
- Development orientation and suggestion
- etc.
To conclude the meeting, Prof. Taneja requested CEO Duong Tri Thanh to write the foreword for his next book and to attend an exclusive event to be held in Brazil next year for 30 representatives working in the aviation industry. In response to this invitation, Mr. Thanh – as well as VNA on the whole – said they were honored to receive his request and to attend the event in Brazil in 2020.

As scheduled, Prof. Nawal Taneja will attend a panel discussion entitled “Vietnam Aviation: Opportunities and Challenges” held by the Ministry of Transport on December 11.
With the presence of Prof. Nawal Taneja and the industry’s leading domestic experts, the discussion is promised to deliver an overview of opportunities for further development in Vietnam’s aviation industry.
