[Vietnam Airlines Spirit] Long Bien: A Feast for Eyes and Soul

On September 24, the “storm” named Vietnam Airlines Spirit touched-down in the Long Bien area. For about 5 hours, spread throughout the morning and afternoon, Vietnam Airlines Spirit’s musical stage was constantly filled with inspirational songs and vibrant dance.

Nine groups with 28 unique performances, each of which featured their own style, brought together a colorful musical party.

Starting from 8:30 AM, the Skypec performance team warmed up the stage with the choir of “Vietnam Heroism.” Besides the opening act, Skypec also brought to the show two other excellent performances, including the song “Improvisation of the Red River” by musician Tran Tien and the dance performance named “We Who Refill Oil.”

The dance “We Who Fill Oil” by Skypec won the audience’s hearts thanks to their modern performance style, combined with stunning sound, light effects, and elaborate choreography.

As one of the four groups performing in the morning, AITS showcased a 5-chapter epic leading viewers through a wide range of emotions, from the pride of “Footprints Forward,” “My Country, My Love” to touching feelings of the song “Cuc,” and the triumph about the glorious victory “Hanoi Dien Bien Phu in the Air”…

“Cuc” – a tribute song to the 10 girls of Dong Loc – is filled with tragic but heroic sentiments. (Cre: Vu Tuan).

Closing the epic with a segment about flying with the country, “The Song of Aviation Women,” expressed both the pride of Vietnamese people and the faith of VNA members throughout the development of the airline.

Bringing to the festival four performances named “Glorious Fatherland,” “Voluntary,” “Take Off,” and “Wander in the Sky,” the Northern Region Branch also received many rounds of applause from the audience. The SABER Vietnam team ended the morning session with an emotional song entitled “My Mother.”

Between the performances, the audience could also watch video clips of each group recording memorable moments during their practice sessions coupled with the wholesome involvement of the teams.

The afternoon show started at 1:30 PM with repertoires from four groups: Office units of the Corporation, AIRIMEX, 919 Flight Crew Division, ALSIMEXCO, and Lotusmiles Center.

The warm vocals of the non-professional singers from Office units of the Corporation left a good impression on the judges and the audience with three songs “Airport in the Early Morning,” rewritten from the song “Ho Guom in the Early Morning” by Luu Thien Huong, “Overcoming the Storm,” and “Flame in Heart”.

The songs not only convey the love for the work but also show the meticulous training from each team. Smooth movements together with sound and light, created special effects and emotional apexes for each performance.

AIRIMEX impressed everyone in the solo category by bringing exciting, charismatic melodies, and an extremely professional rapping in the song “A Story from Daddy.” The group singing of “Co La” combined with contemporary folk dances and was another lasting impression from the show.

Attending the festival, ALSIMEXCO had three performances, including “Vietnam Heroism,” “Inh  la OI,” and “Glory of Vietnam.” The Lotusmiles Center contributed a group performance of the song “The Legend of Vietnam Taking Off.”

Intranet conducted a quick interview with Mr. Hoang Tien Thanh – leader of the AITS performance team:

While Skypec and AITS took the spotlight in the morning, performances by Flight Crew 919 also “burned” the afternoon stage with stout rhythms: “You are the Winning Faith,” “Time of Red Flower,” “Love in the wings,” “Melody of pride,” “Vietnam in Me,” and “Vietnam, Let’s Fly.” The 919 Flight Crew Division received many compliments from the judges and was the only group to win the First Prize of the whole delegation at the Long Bien regional Show.

The Vietnam Airlines Spirit performing arts competition in Long Bien ended with good vibes. Moments, when members of all teams were shining on the stage, are the most meaningful gift for each person to take away from the show. The happiness as their team was called up to receive their awards is the sweet fruit for their great labor of love.

Thanks for all of your wonderful performances. See you all at the Vietnam Airlines Spirit Final.
