Delta passengers can now book travel to Tokyo’s Haneda Airport from five additional US cities for flights beginning from March 28, 2020.
The US airline announced earlier this month that it will transfer full operation of US-Tokyo services from Narita to Haneda Airport in March next year. Currently, Delta operates seven daily flights between the two airports in Tokyo and Atlanta, Detroit, Honolulu, Los Angeles, Minneapolis/St. Paul, Portland (Oregon) and Seattle. Flights from Los Angeles and Minneapolis/St. Paul arrive at Haneda Airport, while the remaining flights land at Narita Airport.

The airline’s business class product, Delta One, will be available on flights to and from Atlanta, Detroit, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, Seattle, Honolulu, and Portland (Oregon).
The flights will also offer the Delta Premium Select cabin which has up to 38 inches of pitch, seat width of 18.5 inches, up to seven inches of recline, and adjustable leg and head rests.
In November, Delta says it will launch a bistro-style international “Main Cabin experience” featuring welcome cocktails, hot-towel service and mix-and-match options for premium appetisers and larger entrees.
New Delta Sky Club at Haneda Airport
The American carrier also said it will be opening a new Delta Sky Club at Haneda Airport in summer 2020. The approximately 836-sqm lounge is still in its initial design phases. The airline says the lounge will include the following features:
- International and Japanese seasonal food offerings that are rotated regularly for customers, including healthy options.
- A full-service bar that includes complimentary drinks, along with seasonal cocktails and wine selected by Delta’s Master Sommelier Andrea Robinson on the premium bar menu.
- Design elements and artwork throughout the lounge reflecting regional culture and history.
- High-speed Wi-Fi, comfortable seating and power outlets at nearly every seat.
- Shower suites.
Just recently, Vietnam Airlines and Delta Air Lines have signed a two-way codeshare agreement to expand their cooperation starting October 2019. The new agreement will see Delta offering seats on the Vietnamese flag carrier’s flights.
