This book was authored by Professor Nawal Taneja – an advisor with over 50 years of experience for numerous major aviation organizations throughout the world. The Professor will pay a visit to Vietnam on December 10th and attend a panel discussion on Vietnam’s aviation market presented by the Ministry of Transport.
The economic recession in 2007 triggered an enduring crisis that still has lingering effects, which continue to pose huge challenges for the global aviation industry. While some airlines are just trying to survive through the crisis, others consider this as an opportunity to re-define their business models to secure sustainable revenue and growth.
Leaders of these airlines never say “no” to change, and do not let any difficulties in the market dictate their ability to do so. Additionally, they also learn from successes and failures of other businesses (both in and out of the industry) and work to apply these lessons accordingly. Across the seven chapters of his book, the author mentions all limitations and current issues that the airline industry is facing as well as opportunities seized through these obstacles.
Class NZ2 of the advanced English training course in New Zealand organized by VNA has translated the book to share valuable information with their coworkers (Cre: Mai Huong).
This promises to be an intriguing book about the aviation industry with practical examples and novel perspectives ideal for not only leaders but also employees working in this field.
