These increased flights will facilitate travels for passengers to return home for family reunion during the Lunar New Year 2020. VNA makes this move in the context that the load factor on high demand routes from HCMC to Northern/Central provinces and cities from 9 th January to 8 th February 2020 (from December 15 to January 15 according to Lunar Calendar) has reached 80-90%. Earlier in mid-November, VNA and JPA announced the provision of a total of 2.23 million seats (about 12,000 flights) nationwide during the Lunar New Year.
On the occasion of Tet holiday, VNA recommends passengers who plans to check in at the counter should arrive at the airport at least two hours before their departure time. To save time and avoid congestion at the airport, passengers can use self-check- in service via the website www.vietnamairlines.com, VNA mobile application, self-check-in kiosks, call hotline at 1900 6265, and mobile application check-in.
VNA also recommend passengers to buy tickets on the website, through the mobile app or at VNA’s official agents and ticket offices. Invoices should be requested to ensure that tickets are not counterfeit or over-priced.
