Aside from installing body temperature scanners in accordance with international standards, Van Don Airport is also providing a four-layer sterilised medical masks for arriving passengers, disinfecting areas that surround the building’s corridors and luggage conveyor belts, in addition to setting up quarantine areas and monitoring the health conditions of arriving passengers.

Pham Ngoc Sau, General Director of Van Don International Airport, states that the airport has been working closely alongside relevant units and authorities in a bid to come up with solutions that deal with any potential cases of the nCoV (Cre: VOV).

Throughout the entire north of the country, Van Don Airport is the only location that has been designated to receive flights which bring Vietnamese citizens back from areas affected by the epidemic areas in China. As a result, both the airport and local authorities are preparing sufficient facilities in order to get the site ready for these special flights.
