After losing in the semi-final, the VAECO HCM team entered the third-place match against the VNPT team. Both teams kicked off with solid tactics and an absolute determination to win the bronze medal.

VAECO HCM netted the first score, thanks to Nguyen Quang Hieu (No. 19), then VNPT fought vigorously and equalized the game (1-1). Sooner than later, Nguyen Sy Tu (No. 13) masterfully led an attack that put VAECO HCM in the lead again. But once again, VNPT found the equalizer just as quickly, ending the 1st half at a score of 2-2.

VAECO HCM’s highly technical playstyle fashioned many masterful passes in the 2nd half, but their stamina quickly ran out due to being a man short. Having a better team with many “professional” players and utilizing the authentic futsal-style football, VNPT team scored two more goals to end the match with a 4-2 win.

With this result, VAECO HCM finished fourth in the Serie A football tournament organized by Vietnam Rubber Industry Corporation.

Thanks to the support from the Board of Directors and the Youth Union, the VAECO HCM team had this incredible chance to play with teams of friendly organizations and to promote VNA as well as VAECO image in a favourable light.
