Accordingly, all flights between Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang and Tokyo (Narita Airport and Haneda Airport), Osaka and Nagoya will be operated normally from 14 October 2019. For canceled flights on 12-13 October due to the impact of Typhoon Hagibis, VNA will increase flights to relieve passengers on 14 October. Passengers affected by the typhoon were supported by the airline in accordance with policies.

Previously, Typhoon Hagibis made landfall in Japan, affecting many flights to/from Tokyo, Osaka and Nagoya cities on 12-13 October, with a total of 30 VNA flights being affected. In order to ensure flight safety and travel plans for passengers, VNA has quickly come up with flexible solutions to postpone flights that are not eligible to take off, arranging passengers to new flights, coordinating pilots, flight attendants and wide-body aircrafts such as Airbus A350 and Boeing 787 with larger seats to relieve affected passengers as soon as weather conditions allow.

Passengers traveling to/from Japan are advised to check for the latest information pertaining to the weather and flight status by visiting VNA’ official Facebook page at www.facebook.com/VietnamAirlinesGlobal, VNA’ website www.vietnamairlines.com, or contact agents nationwide and Customer Service at 1900 1100 (call within Vietnam) or +84 24 38320320 (call from abroad). We appreciate your continued patronage and apologize for any inconvenience caused to affected passengers.
