VNA has been consistently upgrading its fleet, boasting one of the youngest and most modern in Asia. A321neo is the largest member of the A320 family with wider aisles and seats, accommodating 203 passengers in a two-class configuration, with 8 seats in Business and 195 seats in Economy. The arrival of the new fleet is a significant step in the airline’s narrow-body fleet strategy.
EVP Nguyen Thai Trung and representatives of Airbus and Aviation Capital Group congratulating the first A321neo to join VNA.
The investment in A321neo is a part of the company's strategies to develop and upgrade its narrow-body fleet.
With outstanding performance, comfort and flight range, the A321neo will be operated by VNA on domestic and Asian routes.
For many months, Airbus engineers had focused on completing the production process to deliver the first A321neo to VNA on time.
The 203-seater aircraft is divided into 2 separate classes with 8 business class seats and 195 economy class seats. The seats are designed to be slimmer, creating a larger personal space and maximum comfort for passengers.
The wireless in-flight entertainment system on Airbus A321neo will bring the flying experience to the new level.
Equipped with the new PW1100G-JM from Pratt & Whitney and Sharklet technology, A321neo reduces fuel consumption by up to 15% per seat when the aircraft is in operation, and will go up to 20% per seat by 2020 through cabin performance and effciency.
The aircraft is expected to land at Noi Bai international airport on November 17th, ready to join VNA's fleet.
