Turkish Airlines and Vietnam Airlines Announce Codeshare Agreement

Istanbul-based flag carrier Turkish Airlines, a member of Star Alliance, and Vietnam’s flag carrier, a member of SkyTeam, Vietnam Airlines recently signed a codeshare agreement. The signed agreement between two flag carriers will enable both carriers to provide more flexibility of choice to their respective passengers to fly on sectors between Türkiye, Vietnam and beyond.

This reciprocal arrangement will allow Turkish Airlines (TK) and Vietnam Airlines (VN) to provide seamless connections to their passengers. Turkish Airlines will use its code “TK” on Vietnam Airlines operated flights between Hanoi – Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City – Da Nang. Similarly, Vietnam Airlines will place its code “VN” on Istanbul – Hanoi and Istanbul – Ho Chi Minh flights.

Turkish Airlines’ CEO Mr. Bilal EKŞİ stated: “Both flag carriers enhanced their solid collaboration via signing this codeshare agreement. As a result, more passengers will be able to visit these two unique and beautiful countries, Türkiye and Vietnam. Also, with the increasing capacity and product variety in the forthcoming future, this agreement will provide a significant contribution to both airlines.”

Vietnam Airlines’ CEO Mr. Le Hong Ha stated: “The codeshare agreement between two airlines will bring more options and attractive benefits to passengers, as well as contribute greatly to route network expansion and service diversification of Vietnam Airlines and Turkish Airlines. The cooperation will promote economic, cultural and tourism exchanges between Vietnam and Türkiye, as more passengers will be able to visit the two countries conveniently.”
